It seems strange to have this blog during the winter but if you live anywhere cold like me. The winter is the best time to vacation and escape the cold. I went to Hawaii recently and I discovered some fun new gadgets that are must haves.

Underwater Scooter
This is a pricey toy but it’s a blast for adults or kids. We just got a set of these and they are great for zooming around large bodies of water. We took them to the ocean and we recommend you rinse it off after use to avoid rusting.
These are great because there are three different speeds on the waydoo which is fun to try out. The fastest speed setting only allows for a short period of time and will reset back to the lowest speed after. You can also screw in two Waydoos together with one handle which makes for double trouble.
Waydoos don’t help you float, but if you angle the Waydoo slightly, it can propel you up. I also recommend getting a Snorkel Mask so that you can enjoy playing in the water without focusing on keeping your head above water.

Snorkel Face Mask
I am never going back to regular snorkel masks. The face mask is significantly better than the two-piece masks which commonly fog up and requires more effort to put on. This face mask is great because you just slip it on over your face – no more teeth clenching on the mouth piece!
This brand is nice and has many color options and different sizes. Make sure you order the right size because the large size was too big and water got under the gap between the mask and my chin. Most people will fit the small/medium size if you are not sure about sizing.
Racing Floatie
If you want to be the coolest person at the pool party, whip this fun floatie out. You can get it motorized and race with friends across the pool.
The motor is super popular so if you are getting this as a gift, plan to order months in advance if you are in the summer months.
Aquatic Shoes
I am all about fashion as long as its practical. Luckily these shoes have many colors, great for guys and girls. If you are going anywhere with coral reef, I highly recommend getting aquatic shoes or socks. We had two people on our trip cut the bottom of their foots because a big wave rolled in and pushed them into a reef. Getting cuts at the bottom of your feet is not comfortable and depending on where you get it, it can be hard to heal.
I like these ones because they are pretty cute and there are many different color options to pick from.
